I was talking with a friend today and a few others on Facebook
and we all agree on one thing ABRAXAS saved our lives. We were residents in A1 at Marienville in late 1978 and 79. Although not
all of us completed the program we all learned a lot. Over the
years a lot of us have stayed in touch, watched our kids being
born, growing up and at the same time watching others that
didn’t apply what they learned die or end up in jail. So many
names and faces I still think about all the time and I guess we
are the lucky ones, Tracy ,Anne, Jenny, John, Mary, Barb, Tony ,Charlie, ,..Like I said so many, I’m just glad that a lot of
us have kept in touch and still support each other. Most of
the staff that was there is gone but I will NEVER forget
Jeannie Peak, Ken Smith, Arlene Lissner(sp)Gary, Phyllis,
Gaye. Barry Burg these people helped me become ME again
and I thank you with all my heart.

Keep up your great work.
