The Hector Garza Center provides many on-site services including a certified, award winning, state commended school and an MD supervised medical department. Therapists are Masters level counselors. A recreation program is provided year round and includes swimming, arts and crafts, outings, and programs with local volunteers.

Is this a locked down facility? No, we are considered a staff secure facility.
Can I earn my high school diploma or GED? Yes, you can earn a diploma and if court ordered can earn a GED.
Will my family be involved in my treatment? Yes, parents will have the opportunity to participate in family counseling, either in person or by phone. Parents can visit the resident after 30 days. Visitation is on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am - 1 pm or 2 pm - 6 pm, with special consideration for those who travel long distances.
Will I have the opportunity to do community service? Residents with community service hours to perform are given the opportunity to help various individuals and organizations in the community.
